Naturalization/US Citizenship Information Session

Description: In partnership with the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, the International Center at the University of Michigan is pleased to offer a naturalization/US citizenship presentation. This presentation is intended to provide an overview of the naturalization process and to address common questions and concerns. The session is open to all University of Michigan community members who are currently legal permanent residents (green card holders).

Description: This presentation is designed for U.S. permanent residents (green card holders) who would like to learn about procedures for becoming U.S. citizens. An attorney from the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center will provide an overview of the US naturalization process as well as important factors to consider when deciding whether or not to pursue naturalization. The attorney will also be able to address common concerns and individual questions.

International Wellness Fair

Description: Please join us for the International Wellness Fair on February 5 from 5-7PM! The event is in the Student Activities Building Lobby, and it is open to all students, scholars, faculty and staff. We will have groups from all over campus tabling and sharing wellness resources, as well as fun wellness activities such as blast fitness classes (Zumba, Yoga, Meditation), crafting and more!

H-1B Basics

Description: FSIS will be conducting a training session for H-1B at the International Center on Central Campus on December 4th. The workshop will cover regulatory foundations of H-1B status and the procedural steps for filing an H-1B petition, including use of the INSZoom platform used by FSIS. The training is open to all staff and faculty.

Description: Do you have great photos from your experiences at U-M, the state of Michigan, or another country?  The International Center invites U-M international and U.S. students, scholars, faculty, staff, and dependents to participate in our 2017 Photo Contest!  Submit your photos and see if the judges pick you as a winner to be displayed in the 2017 Global Photo Showcase! Winning photos will be used for the International Center’s website, social media, digital signage, or future event promotion material.
