Speaking Up in English

Description: In these sessions, we’ll work on pronunciation, vocabulary, intonation, syllable stress and speaking in social and academic settings. Each session focuses on different situations in which you might need to use specific “chunks” of English. Please choose which (or all) sessions you’d like to attend.

International Wellness Fair

Description: Please join the IC and Wolverine Wellness for the 2023 International Wellness Fair! The event is in the Student Activities Building Lobby, and it is open to all students, scholars, faculty and staff. We will have groups from all over campus tabling and sharing wellness resources, as well food, crafting, therapy dogs, and wellness activities!

How to Use the International Student/Scholar Health Insurance Plan

Description: Brief information about the International Student/Scholar Health Insurance Plan to help you understand how it works. You'll learn how and where to obtain medical treatment if you need it and how to avoid unnecessary expense. Feel free to bring any questions you may have to the workshop.
North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)

Cost: $26/person including transportation and group discounted ticket for the Auto Show. NO REFUNDS. Students, scholars, friends, and families are welcome. Same price for all, regardless of age (including infants). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
May Birthday Celebration

Description: Join us as we celebrate international students and scholars with birthdays in may
We'll have cake and coffee. We encourage you to bring your friends together to celebrate your birthday!
We're planning to be in the Student Activities Building Courtyard, which is an outdoor space with tables and chairs!
International Picnic

Location: New Shelter (Shelter B), Island Park (1450 Island Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48105)
Description: Join the International House Ann Arbor and International Center for the annual International Picnic for international students, scholars and their families! Come and make new friends, enjoy the outdoors and take part in the fun and games. Food and drinks will be provided.
Volunteer Opportunity at Food Gatherers

Location: Meet outside the Student Activities Building (on Jefferson Street side) at 1pm. The service starts at 2pm and ends at 4pm. The group will take AATA bus together.
MLK Symposium
Description: Be involved in one of the largest University celebrations honoring the life and work of Dr. King.
Attend, sponsor or coordinate: lectures, exhibitions, workshops and community service projects, throughout campus from January through March. Learn and share new perspectives with other students, faculty and staff from all fields and the surrounding campus community.
