Cultural Norms

Description: Each culture has norms established that are usually unwritten and may be unclear to people who are new to that culture. Part of adjusting to a new country is learning about what to do and what not to do in social situations. This interactive workshop will highlight 10 common U.S. cultural norms and expected behaviors that could save you from discomfort or embarrassment later.

This event is cosponsored by College of Engineering Office of Graduate Education and the International Center.
